Question regarding the tmsdas essay prompts

So my topic includes immigration and I wanted to know if that is bad. I was reading older SDN threads and immigration could be viewed in a bad limelight, but this is something that has impacted me. Should I not write about it? I included immigration in my personal statement, well I included a bunch of different things but immigration was one and I'm worried I messed up.

I'm not sure what essay you are talking about for TMDSAS; I thought you had three. Can you be more specific about which essay, your context, and your specific concerns?

It is probably the best fit for essay #3 of the TMDSAS app where you can talk about anything that shaped your character or anything you find important in your life.
Around April we will see if TMDSAS has changed the wording of the prompts for the 2025-2026 year.

I included immigration in my personal statement itself. I was sort of relating it to other hardships that I experienced and how it shaped my desire for medicine. I'm not really a good writer and it shows, I will say that is one of my glaring weaknesses. For the unique life circumstance essay, I've thought of an experience I had as a teenager but I'm not sure if that's good enough. All advice is heavily appreciated, thank-you.

If you are still writing and rewriting your essays, remember that the personal statement should focus on your reasons for pursuing medicine as a career
