I took a few classes at a community college and received a WF in one of the courses. It does significantly affect my GPA but my GPA is still competitive for most medical schools (I went from a 3.9 to a 3.8 cgpa; My science gpa is still a 3.9). I was wondering if medical schools screen out applications that have a WF. I have an explanation for receiving the WF (not a great one) so should I even mention the F in my secondaries or should I just wait for the interview and address the situation if it is brought up? Essentially, what I'm asking if schools just look at your GPA, and then take a closer look at actual grades come interview time? Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks!
