I was wondering the number of students older than 30 in your current class. How do you feel about them as classmates? or, if you are one of them, how do you feel being part of the class where the majority are younger students?

I am sure you can approximate on these answers more or less.

Age:
Med School:
Number of older students in your class:
Academic/Professional Background: (if you are the student or know about the student)

Thanks,

Eddie

I'm 22, so naturally I am one of, if not the youngest student in the class. We have numerous students who are over the age of 30 and and a few over the age of 40...I know the second year class at my school has one student over 50. A few of the older students have PhD degrees, and a bunch of the others have backgrounds from law and engineering backgrounds.

Honesty they are just like other students....sure one might think that they are older and wiser, but honestly they are learning and oftentimes struggling with the same material that you are.

I know a few people significantly older than most of the class. Not going to answer your questions directly, but I get along with 'em just fine. They're actually really great guys.

I can think of maybe 3 in my class older than 30... don't really know their backgrounds (one was a teacher not sure on others) and they fit in just fine. Maybe don't hit all the parties but they participate in study groups and other events.

2 older than 30 - I am 29 turning 30 this year, and there are a slew of people 26-28. I have a small class though (60 people). I do know there are several in next year's class, though. My school is very friendly to older students, but I think there are just less of us out there proportionately.

My class had about 10% of students age 30+ when we started, including myself. I think most of the trads appreciate having nontrads in the class, and vice versa. A class full of everyone just the same would be pretty boring, don't you think?
