Have any of you, or do you know someone who did a residency of any kind at: Allegiance Health in Jackson, Michigan?

I did not do a rotation there but interviewed. I am from the south and not sure if I would so called " fit in ".

Seemed nice and had a good interview but would like to hear if someone had any inside info on the pros and cons of the residency.

Getting nervous since match day is getting closer!

If being a yank or a hick is going to be a workplace obstacle for you I would guess there are other issues to be resolved. The Mason Dixon line only exists for those people who live immediately on it and have some weird high school rivalry based on it.

How did the place feel during the interview? To be honest the strongest reaction you are likely to get is "hmmm, accent". It will only be as weird as you make it.

Um... that's why I included the pejorative "yank". The idea being that any preoccupation with region of origin is crude and somewhat silly. 👍

Did you honestly think I was calling you a hick? 🙄 moving forward it will become more and more important to read and respond to entire statements and not just knee jerk reactions to individual words.
