I know that the scores are scaled on the MCAT, but I was wondering what raw scores more than likeley ensure a double digit score on each section?

Please help me out if you can!

Thanks

this is taken from my MCAT study book from kaplan. its the score conversion chart for the mini-MCAT you take at the beginning of the class:

Physical Sciences (out of 39):
(raw score - estimated scaled score)

24-25 -> 10
26-27 -> 11
28-30 -> 12
31-33 -> 13
34-36 -> 14
37+ -> 15

Verbal Reasoning (out of 32):

27 -> 10
28 -> 11
29 -> 12
30 -> 13
31 -> 14
32 -> 15

(yes, that means that for each ? you get wrong in verbal you drop a point...until a 7 which is 23-24...)

Biological Sciences (out of 39):

30-32 -> 10
33-34 -> 11
35-36 -> 12
37 -> 13
38 -> 14
39 -> 15

i don't have an estimated conversion for the actual MCAT, but kaplan should be approximately the same, so you could just convert those scores to a full test. the hardest score curve is on the verbal due to the fact that there's not really anything to memorize...its just if you get the ?'s right or not... anyway, that's the info i have. hope it helps. 🙂
