So, hypothetically, let's say we are comparing two applicants:

Applicant A (only took test once):
AA: 20
TS: 20
PAT: 20

Applicant B (took test twice)
First Time:
AA: 18
TS: 17
PAT: 17

Second Time:
AA: 21
TS: 20
PAT: 20

Now, assuming they have the same GPA, extracurriculars, etc, would applicant A be looked upon more favorably because he/she only took it once and did well. Or do schools really ONLY look at your most recent scores?

I'm not trying to criticize those who retake, I'm just trying to get a feel for how Adcoms perceive multiple retakes and whether or not it is a good idea.

I read an old post (not very old) that said schools average the two scores.
I doubt any school only looks at the most recent score...this isn't the SAT... 😉

I think it is impossible to tell since WE are not adcoms, so just do your best on DAT and from the first try--I think this is the key
Good luck

It deponds to schools. some schools look at your latest DAT ( like Baylor and Oregan). some schools look at the avrage. there is very goo thread in SDN, from Doc toothace check it out.
