Hi everyone! So I didn't know whether to call this a questionnaire or a survey but in any case, I wanted to get fellow applicants' opinion on something.

My PT application process involved a LOT of research about many schools (such as finding their avg GPAs/GRE scores, required # of LoRs, etc) that I thought was very tedious, though totally necessary. That being said, I was thinking that if there were some program out there that, perhaps for a small fee, somehow streamlined this process and organized these pieces of information somewhere (and thus gave me more time to focus on other parts of the application process/other things in my life), I'd probably be down to pay for the program.

I was wondering if any of you felt the same -- obviously it would depend on the price of the program but let's say it was like $15 or something, do you think you'd find it useful enough to get it or do you prefer to do the research yourself? I'd love to hear any of your thoughts on this!

@mgdwreck

good point..but I guess the benefit of the program would be that it personalizes it to the schools YOU want, and organizes it all, and it could also provide other resources

Hmmmm... I wouldn't pay for it because I feel like I can save myself some money (although $15 is not much) and do the research however I do agree with you that applying to PT school took a lot of research for me too and that I kept on thinking how convenient it would be to have a website to go to and find all the information I need.
PTCAS is great but not always updated and I think it would be really convenient to be able to type your state for instance, or your budget and be able to find schools this way etc.. Such a website would take time, but I think it would be SO helpful, so if that's something you want to do I'd say go for it! If you need help, I can help with Texas.
But I don't think a lot of people would pay for a program, however if you create a website, you could get remuneration off of visits to your website.

@beyoutiful_sunshine wow thank you so much for this thoughtful response!!! i totally agree, of course there ARE resources out there already such as PTCAS and other websites but in my experience I didn't find something that could further filter things out. I'm glad I wasn't the only one swamped with research and yeah, if I do take this on as a project I'll def reach out for your help : ) i appreciate your input!
