questions about 2003 MCAT score reporting

I've read that MCAT scores from April 2003 on will be automatically reported to AMCAS, so we no longer have to send these reports to individual schools. What about scores from before April 2003? Do we have to request for these scores to be reported? If I don't want them reported, will that be bad?
 
I thought they were already automatically sent to AMCAS. I never had to fill out anything to get the scores sent to schools. The only thing i could think of is that you can opt to not release the scores to schools. Or for non-AMCAS schools, you have to send the scores individually.
 
The April 2003 administration will be the first one to have automatic score releasing via the 'THx Reports.' All scores between 1991-2002 will sent to each school per the test taker's request. Here's more info:
