Questions about army/air force AEGD

So let's say I'm doing the HPSP with either the army of air force and I have graduated dental school. If I were to do an AEGD, would that AEGD be through the army/air force and be at there base? What is the schedule like for the AEGD, like M-F 9-5 type of thing? What benefits do you receive, like pay and such. Can you live off the base?

Also, once the AEGD is done, do you then go to a base to finish your 4 year commitment?

I am NOT on active duty YET but I'll answer based on what I have seen on this forum

Yes you would do the AEGD through the military at one of their bases.
Your pay will be the same as if you were NOT in residency programs. (you are paid based on rank in the military)..I think..
Yes you can live off the base (Most officers live off base).
