Ok, so my test is on Tuesday and I am worried about the PAT section a little. I am doing excellent in all areas except for pattern folding. Does anyone have ANY tricks/keys/or whatever to help me move through this section pretty fast? I always have ~12 minutes by the time I get there and sort of freak out due to time I guess. I saw where someone said if the mirror image of the object is shown, you can throw that one out. Is that true?

Another question, is the Math Destroyer absolutely necessary? I spent probably ~1,000 bucks on things for the test and my wife absolutely refused to spend anymore, lol. I know it's a great source, but does anyone recommend any websites or free sources? I worked through the DAT Destroyer QR section a lot, but I don't know if it resembles the test. I tutored Calculus, Trig, and College Algebra for like two years when I was doing my undergrad, but unfortunately it is really fuzzy in my memory. So, I memorized all of the Trig formulas, and the permutations/combination formulas. My problem is knowing when to use each one, there are like four. I know this is long, sorry. One last question, with word problems, I know how to do them, but it takes so much time. I am considering just plugging the answers in and seeing which one fits, because I will spend wayyyyyy over a minute on each word problem. Thanks for any advice in advance.

For pattern folding, I had a little trouble with it so I wouldn't know what to tell you. All I can tell you is that the DAT pattern folding was harder than CDP (at least my version was). I think you should try to speed up the pace because you do want extra time to go over the other sections on PAT. Also remember that for pattern folding, it folds DOWN.

And I deffff recommend math destroyer! I took the DAT twice, the first time I did not use math destroyer and got a 16. The second time when I took it I used math destroyer and got a 19. But the choice is up to you. 🙂
