I've already completed my sophomore year of college, and just took the DAT. My scores are as follows: PA18, QR19, RC 20, TS 21 AA 20 and I have a 3.78 ogpa and around a 3.70 science gpa. I'm wondering if it would be advisable for me to apply to a few dental schools after my junior year, bearing I've completed all the requirements for dental school admission, and matriculate without completing my 4th year of undergrad if I'm accepted to any of them. My motivation is mainly financial, and I don't want to waste another year in college if I already have the scores to be accepted earlier.

You would have to be applying NOW if you wanted to skip your final year of undergrad.

If you apply next year, you'll have to complete your undergrad. For example, I'm applying right now (after my junior year) and will start August of 2014.

I wouldn't recommend applying right now. I'm just going to be frank: to get in as an early applicant, you have to have EXTREMELY strong stats.

I think you should really consider retaking your DAT if you want to get accepted without a degree. Most people matriculated without a bachelor have very competitive GPA and extremely high DAT score. One more thing, if you wish to start dental school after your junior year, you should be applying this cycle, not waiting until you are done with your third year. Hope this helps, good luck !

ok thanks. I'm not too familiar with the application cycles and things like that so thanks for the responses.

Just wait til next year bro. Don't rush it. Just remember that it costs a boatload of money to apply to schools anyway!

One of the schools requires 3.9 with 24 across the board to be competitive without a degree.

Which, like... nobody has. So I think they're trying to essentially say to NOT apply early!
