I have an interview scheduled in May at Drexel and I have some questions. How many people does Drexel interview on each interview day? Do they interview almost everyone, since their interview season lasts so long, and supposedly they interview every day of the week? Finally, it it even worth going to an interview in May, since I have only been interviewed at one other school so far? By interviewing in May, it doesn't seem like I would have a good chance of acceptance.

well, if you've only had 1 other interview than you'de be nuts to turn down anyone (unless that first interview accepted you). i think there were about 10 when i interviewed there.

I agree...if you don't have any acceptances yet, I'd advise going to every interview. There were about 10 people interviewing on the day I was there as well, although I know they had about twice that many interviewing the next day.

Considering May is when folks will withdraw their acceptances, I think it's a great idea to go.

Does anyone know how Drexel's waitlist works (is it ranked, or is it based on when you interview)? If I interview in May, will my chances be pretty low of getting in off a waitlist?

When I interviewed, there was about 20-25 people there. If I had to guess, I would suspect that Drexel's waitlist has a decent amount of movement (but I don't know for sure). Drexel also has a large class, so that is also in your favor. Definitely go to the interview.

According to usnews.com, Drexel interviewed 1,409 people last year and accepted 974 for 250 spaces. I am interviewing there on Tuesday, so I'll probably be a better help after that. If you have any questions before your interview feel free to PM me.

From what they told us at my interview, those #'s seem really high. They told us that they accept about 55% of those they interview for spots (at some point) to fill out the 250. I would def. go though because it is a very large class and they're having some problems with MCP hospital, so that might force them to accept more than they otherwise would.

Drexel definitely interviews at least 1600.

We don't interview every day of the week. Usually M-F, but not Wednesday. The office just added Wednesday to the interview list this month, and there are Saturday interviews every once in a while.

My friend here interviewed in April in the year that we applied to school and he was accepted. There is obviously more competition for fewer spots, but blowing off an interview would be crazy.

And also, people cancel, so call occasionally and see if there is an earlier interview date that comes up.

I think there were 12 applicants there when I was there. You still have a chance. Go for it. As it was mentioned above people do start giving up there offers in May. You would be fresh on their minds. Good luck
