Questions about moving and residency

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Most states require that you establish your residency for something other than schooling, mainly a job. They often also usually require that you at minimum register your vehicle, register to vote and get a drivers license there. Some states require that you own property there. If you only applied to your state school, that was a mistake. Also, establishing residency really doesn't increase your chances of acceptance mainly because acceptances are just low everywhere. Apply to some private schools and to some state schools that give instate after a year.
