Hey guys,

Would it ever be taken against me in terms of admissions if I send an AMCAS application to say, these 26 schools? Would that be too big a number?

I'm applying wiht a Canadian citizenship, so would international statistics actually apply to me?

I was also wondering if someone could give me their opinion on which schools to keep and which ones to toss out or replace with.
Thanks!

yes..unfortunately international status does apply to you. One of my good friends was in your shoes for the past application year (a canadian citizen) but she went to a US undergrad college. I think you have a pretty broad range of schools with varying difficulties, not such a bad list. Its probably a good idea to apply to more since you are considered international. Make sure you check up with each schools policies on international applicants. Also you should consider canadian schools, thats where my friend chose to end up (toronto) because it was way cheaper since international applicants arent eligible for US funding or financial aid. fyi she's planning on doing a US residency. 🙂 hope this helps

hey oli84

im canadian and applying this year too. are you doing an undergrad in the us? its best to go each of the school's website to look at their policy on canadian students.

i'm canadian and got into NYMC and Rosalin franklin from your list.... so it totally is possible as a canadian citizen

Good Luck

Hmm... this is where it gets a little tricky. I'm a canadian non-resident citizen. I live in the Philippines, but I'm going to use my Canadian citizenship for applications. I'm thinking about UBC since I lived in BC when I was in Canada. How friendly do you think they would be to someone in my case? I think I would be considered out-of-province, and looking at the MSAR, the stats for out-of-provnicers don't look promising.

Oh and yeah I'm doing undergrad in the US.
