can someone please tell me how exactly the cbt is going to work. i know its shortened and there are less questions. but i was wondering...

1. do we get headphones to drown out the noise of others?
2. do we mark our answers on the computer or bubble them onto a sheet of paper? (the aamc website mentioned that the test would be graded in the same manner it was for the paper test)
3. how much scratch paper will we get?

also, can anyone reccommend where i can take practice online test

thanks

Hey I was just reading that ergonomic chairs, guest lockers, and noise reduction headphones will be available at the test sites.

I believe that we will be able to highlight parts of the passage and mark off wrong answers. The answers will be marked on the screen by clicking on the correct answer bubble. We cannot make any notations on the screen.

Scratch paper will be provided, and it will be collected and discarded at the end of the test.

Kaplan offers a online practice test available to the general public. www.kaptest.com, and click on the MCAT tab.

Has anyone taken the computerized-MCAT back in August? I would love to hear any feedback.

Thanks. Hope that was helpful.

took the cbt in aug. so glad i didnt take paper

they give you a book with scrap about 5 pages maybe. it was plenty. you can get more if you want.

you can use the headphones to block out the noise if you want

if you right click on a MC answer you can cross it out if you think it is the wrong choice

you can highlight passages

you make all of your answers on the computer and yes you can go back if there is time to check them or answer skipped q's.

you work at your own pace which is why it is so much better. when you are done a section you can go on and not have to wait for everyone else to finish like on the paper tests. all the breaks are even optional. i took 0 breaks and finished the test in about 4 hours. came in at like 830 and was done by 1.

Hey, how did you do compared to your practice AAMC tests?
