Questions for a Dean of Basic Science Dept of med school

I am meeting the Dean of the a Basic Science dept at a Med school soon. I am interested in academic medicine and primarily want to get his opinion on being a scientist, a physician, and a teacher. I primarily want to get a sense of life in academic medicine not so much my chances of admission at that particular school. I have a few questions in mind, but what would you ask him if you wanted to. I will post answers after wards if you want to her what he had to say. Many Thanks

Is he a physician? Most chairmen of basic science depts are PhDs.

He is MD/PhD. He is not in clinical practice, but runs a lab and spends most time in administrative work.
