The last one with a pyrophosphate question....it's a nucleoside. A nucleoTide is a nuceloSIDE with 3 phosphoate groups on it.
Hope this helps ;o).

how is cholesterol transported in lymph??

ldl, vldl, chylomicron, hdl, freely??

I"m pretty certain that it's as chylomicron, because it's transported in the lymph from the digestive tract to the liver. The blood stream would be VLDL, HDL, LDL, etc, but becuase it's lymph, it's dietary cholesterol and it's a chylomicron.

which of the following participate in contraction process of smooth muscle
actin
myosin
both
none

ans is both.the interaction of sliding actin and myosin is similar to skeletal muscle, except that smooth muscle does not contain troponin and is mediated by calmodulin.
pls correct if wrong....

I have doubts about insulin??? can anyone confirm that..

ans is insulin.
peptide harmones-anterior pituitary(LH,ACTH,GH,PROLACTIN,FSH)
posterior pituitary(ADH,OXYTOCIN)
pancreas(INSULIN AND SOMATOSTATIN)
GIT(GASTRIN,CHOLECYSTOKININ)
heart(ANP)

HOPE THIS HELPS..

Ans is reappoint. Since the patient shd be accompanied by the adults like parents, step parents or guardians. Correct me if needed

Hi,
Insulin is the large peptide.Actually Glucagon is also polypeptide.
But when compared Insulin has 59 aminoacids and Glucagon has only 29 aminoacids. So chose Insulin when both of them are present. One more thing is Insulin has a characteristic polypeptide feature that is secreted as a proinsulin.
But all pancreatic hormones and Pitutary hormones are polypeptides.
Hope this helps..........

if a patient has condylar fracture, and his translation movements are not possible, which compartment is affected??

1- upper
2- lower
3- both
3- none

how does calcification proceed in long bones??

1- radially from centre to outside
2- from outside to centre

if a patient has condylar fracture, and his translation movements are not possible, which compartment is affected??

1- upper

2- lower
3- both
3- none
translation is carried out by upper compartment so i guess choice 1 to be the answer

which is true??

2-canines contact in protrusion
3-canines contact in laterotrusion
4- posteriors contact in laterotrusion

1.antivirals are(mode of action)
a against nucleic acid
b against rna
c against protien ------ pls confirm?

2.cns infection with insect vector is cauded by
ricketssiae or chlymydiae

3.sensory nucleus for v, vi, ix ,vii ,x nerve is
spinal nucleus of v
sensory nucleus of v
mesencephalic nucleus of v

4.vasculitis in children buergers/ kawasakis/ giant cell vasculitis .. is that kawasaki??

1.antivirals are(mode of action)
a against nucleic acid
b against rna
c against protien ------ pls confirm?
antiviral drugs:
1. against nucleinic acids - as precursers ddC, ddI, 3TC or others
2. agaubst protease (protease inhibitors)
3. inh DNA like Acyclovir for example
4. in general substances against viral infections..

2.cns infection with insect vector is cauded by
ricketssiae or chlymydiae
Rickettsia species are carried as parasites by many ticks, fleas, and lice, that is it is carried by arthropods, leeches and protists.
Chlamydiae - touch, birds, inhalation

By this point - I will like to see more possible answers before choosing a define answer...

3.sensory nucleus for v, vi, ix ,vii ,x nerve is
spinal nucleus of v is only for pain and tempreture
sensory nucleus of v is for tactile, pressure sensation that is discriminitive touch
mesencephalic nucleus of v

Hi,

1.conflict between dentist n patient abt the treatment of extraction what principle shud be involved here-
--autonomy n non-malifeance
--autonomy n verasity

2.Which tooth might have a pulp horn less than the total number of cusps

3..- Only tooth with a cusp so uniquely prominent that posses a prominent triangular ridge that separates Mesial and distal?

.4.- the metabolite that helps messuring GFR is: inulin, creatinin? When do we have to answer inulin and when creatinine??

5. healing bone will show all except :
woven bone callus ,woven bone callus with composite bone, composite bone replaced by lamellar bone, it'll start laying down cartilagenous callus

6. A person canot hear vibrations of a fork, he can hear it if its kept on his mastoid antrum , this indicates wat damage ?

7.if u need to give an intramuscular nerve block in the oral region which muscle is preferred?? masseter, lat pty,med pt,tempo??

pls ans this.

glucagon has all of the following actions except
a.inc plasma glucose
b.inc plasma free fatty acids and ketoacids
c.dec plasma amino acids
d.inc urea production

Hi,

1.conflict between dentist n patient abt the treatment of extraction what principle shud be involved here-
--autonomy n non-malifeance
--autonomy n verasity

2.Which tooth might have a pulp horn less than the total number of cusps - I'll say mandibular first premolar, but it is easier to say when you have the possible answers 🙂)

3..- Only tooth with a cusp so uniquely prominent that posses a prominent triangular ridge that separates Mesial and distal? it's either mand. 1st.premolar or mand first primary molar (again it depends on the given answers)

.4.- the metabolite that helps messuring GFR is: inulin, creatinin? When do we have to answer inulin and when creatinine?? inulin is for the measurement as a test, creatinin is the one which would be measured by a regular cell blood count (cbc).

5. healing bone will show all except :
woven bone callus ,woven bone callus with composite bone, composite bone replaced by lamellar bone, it'll start laying down cartilagenous callus
all are stages of the healing, so if I have to pick one, I'll go with composite bone replaced by lamellar bone (it sounds the most mature one from all), I am guessing though.

6. A person canot hear vibrations of a fork, he can hear it if its kept on his mastoid antrum , this indicates wat damage ? bone conductivity is spared, anything with air-conductivity impairment.

7.if u need to give an intramuscular nerve block in the oral region which muscle is preferred?? masseter, lat pty,med pt,tempo not sure about this one: the point you wanna reach with the anesthesia is the foramen mand. above the lingua mand. - so i will pick med pt, but there are methods of anesthesia which are place to releif severe muscle contraction of the massester/ temporal muscle (intra and extraoral methods), so it might be any of those ones. Sorry not that helpful here.??

2 acidosis
3 ketonuria
4 alkalosis

Ans is Alkalosis

Can anyone explain why is that so?

Remember Beta oxidation splits long carbon chains of the fatty acid into acetyl CoA, which can eventually enter the TCA cycle. I believe, Byproducts of TCA include CO2.
Increase in CO2 leads to acidosis.

3.not present in dermis of skin? Melanosome, sweatgland, hair follicle, reticular fibers.
Is that hair follicle? I think its melanosome.

4.Patient with dettachment of retina on left eye, response of his pupil to bright light? I believe no response. or Pupil dilation

5.bacteria that shows an increase following eruption on primary teeth??
Guessing Strep mutans?
