One of the MD/PhD programs I applied to (at my state school) offered me a chance to visit with the program director and ask any questions I may have about the program. I figured this was a good sign and was excited about the opportunity, but I can only think of a few basic questions to ask so far. What common - and n0t so common - questions about the school do you suggest asking while I'm talking to the director?

Most of the MD questions still apply to an MD/phd program so here is a list:

For the Phd portion:

Ask what fields and or labs are open to you? i.e., is there restriction on humanities etc., or certain departments.
How many students get F30s? where do students get there funding/stipends?
What opportunities are there for keeping you med skills sharp during phd?
Is there a clinical refresher before starting 3rd year?
Is there a tailored Phd pathway for md/phd students or is it the same as phd students?
More general:
Is there anything different about their program?
whats the average completion time?
where do students match and how many?
Is there organized events where Md/phd students get together etc.,
What do students generally do other than study?

Just off the top my head.
