I'm currently looking for jobs after graduation. I'd be interested in hearing from others about what questions they have found useful to ask when interviewing for attending psychiatrist positions (inpatient, partial, and even outpatient).

Pay, raises, benefits, retirement offerings, ability to moonlight, no compete clauses, terms of breaking contract, # of patients to see daily, referral options, support staff, security, etc.

What are your programs for retention of medical staff?
for encouraging continuing education?
To encourage use of best practices and avoiding problematic practices like polypharmacy?
How easy is it to refer a patient for therapies you might not have here, like ECT, DBT, residential drug rehab, etc.?
Are you certified to participate in loan repayment programs?

Thanks for asking this question. Bumping it in case anyone out there has other suggestions since I am currently job hunting myself. It is really hard to know what's important and what isn't since I have never been an attending before.
