Hey everyone. Just wondering what you guys think would be good questions to ask interviewers in case you finish the interview early and they say "Do you have any questions for me?" I'm hoping I use up all the time during my interview so I wouldn't have to ask, but just in case...

So you want others to tell you what questions to ask? Do you really think making up questions is a good use of your interviewer's time?

Just figure out what you are curious about and ask. It doesn't necessarily even have to be about the school. You can ask about the economy for dentistry, the future, technology, or ask the interviewer questions about their own career/academia. I'm sure you can think of stuff. By the way, if you search, this topic has been beaten to a pulp.

I was given this one by a 4th year dental student on the committee - he said that because in a learning institution everyone loves to help/teach...ask "do you have any advice for me in my current position?" or something along those lines. They like to help or give advice like "well, if you don't get in this cycle, try improving ____". I asked this question and got "well, I think you have an advantage over a lot other students that are older/parents, etc being that you are a hygienist. You probably will be ahead of most in the hand skills, plus you've had a lot of these classes before and the info should come back to you even if you've forgotten..." It wasn't really advice but I thought it was a good question. GL!

I've been asked to ask questions in every interview. You dont need to ask really profound stuff. Just ask practical stuff to let them know u are seriously considering their school. Where do students live? What year do u move from sim lab to clinic? You can prepare them or just shoot from the hip. I did both, good luck!

I completely agree with this! It gives you a chance for you to interview your interviewers. They love that, plus you get feedback so its a win-win.
