Questions with species name involved?

Any people who have taken the DAT already or are studying for the DAT:

Have you guys ever seen questions where you would have to know what kind of animal/organism it is just by knowing its species name like for example have you guys seen a question like:

What is the most likely habitat for Dipodomys spectabills?
A) Taiga
B) Tundra
C) North America
D) Coniferous forest

Dipodomys spectabills is a kangaroo rat so would we have to memorize the separate species names for different animals?!???!

If I saw that while taking the DAT I would just mark some random ans and move on. Memorizing specific organisms? lol. My understanding is that we need to know the major phyla - as outlined by cliffs AP or barrons AP.

hahahaha... that would have been hilarious... I dont have that much time to waste on specific species + habitat... I rather get that one wrong..

Nothing like this on my real DAT! That would be a little too specific!
