Okay I want to make this a new thread (rather than just add it to the AMCAS thread) so somebody might actually read it tonight (this morning?) 😛

I want to print my application, but I have a problem. I generally use Firefox, not Internet Explorer, but of course I have to use IE for AMCAS. The problem is ever since (I think) the XP service pack 2 installation my IE won't show PDF files. I'm not sure why; I have the newest version of Acrobat and Firefox opens .pdf's fine. Has anybody dealt with this? I just want to print my darn application!!! :meanie:

i haven't had this problem since i'm using a mac 🙂

but perhaps it is saved on your computer somewhere. did it show it downloading? maybe you can do a search for it, on my computer the file is called 'GeneratePDF.cfm'. maybe you can search for a file under that name and see if it finds it somewhere.
it sucks we can't use firefox.

Right click, save target as... put the .pdf file locally on your hard-drive. Use adobe reader and open the file. By all means, bypass the built-in, browser-based acrobat reader function.

(edit)
also, sometimes I experience problems as well... I find that if I have adobe acrobat reader running before attempting to view pdf's online, things work out fine. try seeing if having reader open while you try to access the online pdf makes a difference.

Thanks. I searched for that file name but it didn't work. I'm still trying to see if there's a file in a temporary folder, though.

Thanks. I didn't see this before posting the last thing. I'll do this. 👍

Okay, this is ridiculous. I tried saving it, but I got this error msg: Internet Explorer cannot download from prtWebApp();. No such interface supported

Then I tried having Acrobat Reader opened and then opening the file, but that didn't work either. I think I might have to go find another computer to use.

I also had problems using ie for acrobat files. Seems to be fixed since I installed acrobat reader 7.0 tho... are you still using 6.0?
