Quick decision between cdr and topscore

I saved just enough money to either get topscore, cdr or achiever. I still have the kaplan online class n those resources too n 2 more kaplan practice exams so which one should i get??

If you're weak in RC, then get CDR as this will best represent the actual RC.

If you're strong enough in RC and want more DAT exam practice, then get TopScore as this will best represent the actual DAT.

Achiever is overkill and the benefits wil be marginal compared to the other choices.

except for the sciences, while i agree with you on most posts; you keep pushing people away from achiever, i dont think its the right move to sit there and focus on topscore and its easy sections; it might make sense to really understand confusing concepts via achiever and push your self a bit more. i dont treat topscore or achiever as true representations of exams but achiever in my opinion is a better representation of QR, has a tougher RC that's not horrible, has a PAT thats tougher but gets you focused and has a nice n tough science section that you can really really learn from.

Meanwhile, topscore is testing you on baby concepts like o/p directors lol i doubt u need to pay $60 for that.

I disagree regarding Achiever and here is my reasoning. It's one thing to use a prep material that is one or two notches more difficult than the actual; this will certainly provide benefits and serve as a good indicator of one's performance. However, when the prep material is 10-20 notches more difficult it becomes counterproductive. It would be similar to using a calculus textbook to study for algebra. The overkill concepts one would painstakingly learn from an Achiever exam would never show up on an actual DAT and nor would it help one answer the typical basic questions found on the DAT such as the simple o/p directors. Let's also keep in mind that the OP possesses the Kaplan exams and thus he may not need the practice of QR or RC from Achiever which are maybe the only applicable sections of Achiever besides perhaps PAT. It seems to me the makers of Achiever failed to gauge the difficultly level of DAT exams to create their product accordingly. Instead they seemed to have created a random product, at least in the science section, based off standardized tests for other health fields. Scoring a 16 AA on Achiever doesn't really say much in terms of projected performance. It merely lowers confidence and creates more anxiety.

You've never used it so you're advice on it is merely anectodal plus theres nothing random about it; the organic chem questions are amazing they test fundamental concepts that are so easy to forget but are so important. And there's a gen chem question in test 2 thats EXACTLY THE SAME as topscore question from THEIR VERSION of exam 2 LOL its not that different dude, just because its tougher does not mean its useless.

Achiever is no different than Destroyer, which has a ton of good and bad questions; if you were to grade yourself via Destroyer you would probably get a 16 as well, but since you can't you dont bring that point up.

All i'm saying is Achiever is a good top and can be used to work harder and learn a lot more concepts. I dont feel I've learned much from Topscore, I just did some easy questions that seemed to insult my intelligence

Alright, I'm going to waste a good hard earned $60 (and eat macaroni and cheese for the next 2 weeks) to purchase the Achiever 3 Test version just to prove you wrong. I just hope I don't become a big cheese head during this experiment.

lol im sure u could save that $60 on topscore with its useless RC and Math lol

the best thing for RC is CDR hands down, I like it its nice and simple but tests good tone and inference questions. if you got money spend it on that. topscore RC is a joke and achiever RC is a kick in the testes lol neither are good for that section.

means you're guaranteed at least a 20, which is good enough unless your gpa is like 3.9
