What is the expression for the solubility product constant, Ksp, for BaCl2?

I thought we take into consideration that there are two Cl's because the reaction follows:

BaCl2 --> Ba^+2 + 2Cl-

Thus Ksp=[Ba^+2][Cl-]^2 ?

But the correct answer they give is Ksp=[Ba^+2][Cl-] (without the 2 exponent)

...and I believe there's something similar in the Kaplan book using BaF2 where they do include ^2 in Ksp answer.

Any ideas????

I was going to post the same question... it should be [Ba2+][Cl-]^2..

The way that it's written, there should be an exponent. I think you guys are right. 🙂
