A magnetic field can change the velocity of a charge which is travelling perpendicular to it by changing its direction of motion (providing a centripetal force) but it doesn't change speed, therefore no change in kinetic energy and no work done.

If the charged particle is moving then the magnetic field will change the velocity of the particle. That requires force. For what distance is the force applied. d = V x (delta t) assumind the velocity does not change. I would say that there is work done.
 
Wait a second. We are dealing with vectors. The vectors of F and d are perpendicular so that the dot product makes W always equals 0.
