why is geometry of chloroamine (NH2Cl)
tetrahedral not trigonal pyramid?

Somebody else please confirm, but I THINK this is indeed trigonal pyramidal, and polar...

TPR did not specify whether they are asking for electron geometry or molecular geometry.
I blindly assumed that it was molecular but electron geometry is indeed possible.
Thus, it's TPR's fault.

There will be no such question on the MCAT... but if there are, assume molecular geometry unless context/words specify electrons. Do remember that the electrons are what push the Cl away from the planar configuration.
