terminal alkene being oxidized with basic hot solution of potassium permangenate yields?

in my kaplan book it says it will yield a carboxylic acid and carbon dioxide but has shown a diagram of ketone and a carbon dioxide...thought i would encounter a question with that but havent yet figured id ask if by chance it shows up

a terminal alkene would yield a carboxylic acid and CO2. It is drawn as a ketone in the kaplan book but its wrong. When i came across it, i looked it up in my college orgo textbook to make sure.
