Hey guys is it ok if i just take the lecture portion of my ochems and then take the labs after I apply or during the process of applying?
Meaning the labs won't be in the aadsas application by the time i send it in even though i'm going to take them.

Will this also lower my chances of acceptance?
Thanks

I've never heard of anyone doing that...

I can only imagine that dental schools would prefer to see that you took your classes the way they were meant to be taken...and that you have completed them before you apply..

That's only my opinion. Good luck.

Send the schools an update letter. It takes AADSAS a very long time to verify your GPA and then mail the application. So you have some time. Write a letter telling the schools that you are enrolled in ochem lab courses and a soon as you find out the grades send those in as well.

Good luck

Yes, actually that's what I am doing. I took ochem lecture, and will be taking ochem lab this spring. On my aadsas, i put it as planned session. Hope that helps.

im also in the same boat.. i took ochem lab1 last year but im taking ochem lab2 this spring. however, i didn't put it as planned session. hopefully this won't hurt my chances too much.

I am also in the same boat.
But I heard from previous posts that it doesn't matter as long as you finish the prerequisites before entering dental school.
Does anybody know that this is true?
