Scramble? Does this mean that go around trying to find a position that's anywhere? One more question; what happens if you're unable to find a residency by scrambling?

I think there are thousands of unfilled spots (in total) So - you will find one during the scramble.

Thanks for the quick replies you guys. I always wanted to know what would happen to a resident if they didn't end up matching; but I see that you are able to match somewhere without the added benefit of this residency being the one you truly desired. Oh better something than nothing I always say.
