yep. each letter grade, such as B, B+, B- corresponds to a particular number of points.

I have a question about GPA too, I am from canada, calgary to be exact, and thinking about optometry probably in another year or so. I've heard that they actually bump up the GPA for applicants from canada...slightly...or its just easier for us to get in?

Anyone have any feedback on this?

YA ,that is true. I asked one of the schools about this and they said they usually add 0.1-0.2 to Canadian GPAs. I dont know what American universities are up to , but i guess Canadian school are tougher, or atleast look tougher to Americans

2 of the schools I applied to had me send in "required" and science grades again on their own forms. kind of redundant when i already sent them in through optomcas, but both of the schools didn't take into account the + and -'s on my grades and actually instructed me to leave them out when filling out the forms.
