So M1V1=M2V2 is ONLY used for dilution problems right? Whenever neutralization problems between an acid and base or mixing an acid and base and asking what the concentration of one of the two is we use NORMALITY (N1V1=N2V2) not M1V1=M2V2.

M1V1 = M2V2 and N1V1 = N2V2 are basically the same exact equation.

You can use the M1V1 = M2V2 equation for acid-base reactions, just don't forget to multiply by the number of equivalent H's or OH's.

But, you can't really use the N1V1 = N2V2 equation for dilutions. N is always going to equal M.
