Do transcripts show the grade for the lecture portion of a course and for its corresponding lab? Or just the overall course grade?

iT DEPENDS...i GO TO uf AND most of the lecture and lab grades are seperate....except for a few courses.....it dpends on how ur school or particualr class does it.....if you had to resiter for the class and lab seperate it means it is a seperate grade if you did not most likey it is a combined grade

It really depends on the school that you took the classes at. At my community college the chemistry labs are completely independant from the lectures so you get an actual letter grade for a one credit lab. However, biological science labs are zero credits and are integrated into your lecture grade. If It shows up as a grade on your transcript and it has non zero credits I'm sure it will show up to any pharmacy school that you apply at.

if you signed up for a 3 hr lecture and a 1 hr lab, you'll get 2 separate grades. if you signed up for a single 4 hr class that includes the lab, then you'll get 1 grade.

I signed up for them independently, but I think it's just because the lab sections are at different times. You have to take the lab or you cannot take the lecture and vice versa.

Under my "unofficial" transcript on my online student account, it just shows the course name,4 credit hours and grade (No separate lab grade). Also, my semester grade page shows the lab section although it shows 0hrs and no grade.

Check it,

I just wanted to know if unofficial transcripts and official contain the same content.

it looks like you lab and lecture are combined. So you will not have a "lab grade," but your lecture grade should be a combination of your lab grades and lecture exams.

It is, but I'm just a paranoid dude. 🙂

My school actually just changed last year after I took Biochemistry. When I was taking it Lec/Lab were all combined. They've converted so that now the lab and lecture are separated on the transcript. I haven't even looked at them to see how it looks, whether they converted my original grades to the new systerm, or if they just list them the way it was when I was taking it.

My school doesn't even list the laboratory. They just put the class list the name of the combine class and put you credit as well as they grade. I think it's all depend on the school.

At my school you have to sign up for the classes seperately. Lecture is 3 units. Lab is 2 units. (quarter system)
