On a secondary, when they say, "you may add anything you feel is relevant to your application here" / "you may make any additional comments to the admissions committee here" / etc..

Should you talk about why you're interested in their program specifically OR should you just talk about something random (though still important to you and relevant to your app)??

Go with the "why i like your school specifically"...i think they really look positively on that (of all the schools I have interviewed at, with the notable exception of Hopkins and Harvard, I have gotten the feeling that medical schools are just as insecure about themselves as we are about our applications; therefore, say something to make them feel good about themselves

I think that section of applications is made especially for explaining details of your academic/personal record that weren't covered elsewhere (e.g. "I got bad grades in my freshman year b/c...and I learned this crap from it so...but I'm still totally sweet, you know"?). But. I s'pose it could also be used for some crucial ass-kissing too.

Well a friend of mine who had a similar question on one of his secondaries did not write a response but still got accepted to the school.

But I think it will be beneficial to write something you like about the school.

Whew! I'm glad to read this post! I didn't have anything to add (at the time . . . I may send an update now though), so I didn't write anything either. I was starting to think I really screwed up!
