This is just more of me stressing and needing some reassurance. If I have a 3.6 cumulative GPA and a 3.7 science GPA, along with an average DAT, am I bound to at least get into some dental school? Also would those stats give me a good chance to get into Marquette's Dental School?

Thanks! 🙂

You have SDN-itis. Chillax. Yes, your GPA is just fine. Average DAT will be fine also. Through some ECs and good letters in there and you will receive your acceptance package one day.

With a good gpa like that u must be bragging man.

I have a 3.6ish overall. 3.4ish science, 22 DAT. I generally interview well (at least for jobs). I have 0 acceptances. 3 wait lists and 3 rejections. Granted I was in the 16th batch, so that prob hurt me.

Basically, do your best and apply early....Idk if there are ever any guarantees.

I have a 3.7 GPA, a 3.54 science GPA and a 21 DAT and I got accepted. I finished applying late August. You will be fine as long as you don't spend too much time on this site worrying yourself. Make sure you have food observation hours and ECs and you will be fine.

No worries I have a 3.66 GPA, a 3.57 Science GPA, and a 20 DAT and I got 2 acceptances and 3 wait lists as of now. You'll be fine!

First, define "average" DAT. The term "average" seems to vary from one test taker to another. If your answer was an AA of 20+ then you are bound to get an acceptance from at least one dental school, assuming you interview well and your extracurriculars are commendable. Even with a 19AA you should be fine at some places. If your AA was an 18 I would recommend you take the exam again. If your RC is a 16 or below and your other sections are not 22+, take the exam over and save yourself the agony of suspense.
