Anyone else feel like schools have been pretty quiet recently, especially since October started? I got most of my IIs in August/early September but haven't heard much since then. Looking at the tracker also shows the same for others (I do know less people are reporting now though). This could just be my schools too.

The vast majority of people reporting on the tracker are neurotic high stat students who think no II for 3 days means their careers are over. Most of those kids get their II's early and it tapers off. So yes it makes sense, but also the tracker is a terrible representation because it's so skewed towards the top. I'm a solid URM candidate and got almost all of my II's in early august/september with almost nothing in the past month, meanwhile a few similar-stat peers of mine got 3-5 II's within the last 2 weeks despite submitting same time as me. Personally I am not expecting any more II's at this point except for the schools that are notoriously slow.

I’ve had the opposite. 3 in august/sept, 5 in October.

In my previous cycle it was reversed though. I got the vast majority by mid September.

I think it means that you were at the top of the food chain this cycle. Of course more could come in. But don’t worry, it bodes well for you regardless because if you’re getting interviews in august September it likely means you were in the upper echelon of candidates at the schools you interviewed at. This correlates to high post interview acceptance rates.

Good luck

It may be quiet on SDN, but that doesn't mean non-SDNers (the vast majoirty of applicants) are getting shut out.

The last II for me was the start of September and has been silence/hold/Rs since then. Hoping for at least 1 more II to trickle in during the late season.

EARLY II get sent out to the best of the best aka a lot of people on reddit and SDN. Now us normal folk get our II. So while its quiet non here, thousands of applicants are still getting their II!

Apparently there is usually a bunch sent out in coming weeks but I’m not so sure because seems like there are fewer people withdrawing on school specific threads compared to past years. Don’t really blame them tbh. Compare financials, insurance in case of rescinding. Feels like many on Reddit and here already have acceptances too

AAMC annual meeting (virtual this year) is Nov 8, 9, 10th. Those 3 days are usually blocked off and interviews don't happen. Of course, no interviews on Nov 25-26 and likely 24th, too. That generally means Nov is a light month for interviews, as is Dec (generally, we would not expect interviews later than Dec 22nd followed by a period of at least 10 days without interviews).

Safe to say that well upwards of half have gone out at this point? I’m thinking three quarters. Hard to tell because tracker is so inconsistent.
