FoughtFyr said:It is exothermic, and can damage the surrounding tissue. Has use for wilderness medicine where time to surgery might be long, but in the short term it is relatively unproven against traditional methods of hemorrhage control. I would pack it if making a "survival kit" and see a role for it in tactical EMS but I don't see it on ambulances, if for no other reason that EMS uses "toys" if they have them and I can't see that the times this might work would outweigh the risks of inappropriate usage.
