I think this guy is also "PCOMDO" and "DOgenius", it is ridiculous why some people just take on accounts to post insensitive garbage sometimes.

I know. It must be a boredom thing. The ironic part is, I was never offended by his quotes in this thread. I know he was probably going for that but it didn't work. The Farrelly brothers' movies have always been good about having handicapped characters portrayed well and the people that make fun of them or put them down are portrayed as scumbags. I like There's Something About Mary. Matt Dillon's character (Pat Healy) is supposed to be a jerk and he gets screwed in the end. So in the context of the movie, I was not offended.

Oh god don't get me started! He's 19 and has always been the light of my life. He has taught me more about life than I can describe. He's a huge factor in making my decision for medical school because I can't be apart from him for too long. Down's kids/adults are incredible people and I think people that work with people like them are incredible!

I taught gymnastics for 9 years and my favorite student I ever had has Down's Syndrome. She was 33 and won gold medals in the Special Olympics World Games! She inspired me more than words can express. In fact, I wrote about her in one of my secondary essays.

That is so cool! Good luck with everything!

i think i've learned more about developmental disorders in this post than i did in my cognitive development class....keep it up guys! you folks will be great physicians to some very fortunate patients 🙂

Putting this post back on track, I am pretty sure I am going to not be put on the schedule at the hospital anymore after this month. Ill work ski patrol until March or so (so I can get paid to ski.... 🙂) then find something in the spring to make some money. Maybe I'll go back to work with the construction company I worked for last year.... Dunno yet.
