my question pertains to finding the number of nodes, nodal planes, etc.

i saw a question about this from Kaplan's practice test 3. i think i figured out the basic pattern, where number of nodes is (n - 1). however, i'm confused about terms like "angular nodes", "nodal planes", "radial nodes".

i tried to google but there does not seem to be a clear-cut resource for this topic. thanks for any insights and help.

Like with molecular orbitals? Anti bonding and bonding planes? I don't think you have to comprehend it for the test. Maybe just as bonding increases stability increasses

it has to do more with the places where electron density is zero and how this varies with each type of orbital. i think i have it figured out now.
