I know this question may seem basic, but I was pretty sure that peptide synthesis occurs at the P site of the ribosome (hence, "P"). The answer says that it is actually A. What's the deal? I sort of chose my answer as a default because I thought the other ones were incorrect.

tRNA binds at both sites, but the A site comes before the P site, and if there's no tRNA at the A site then there can be no peptide bond formation at the P site.
