Hello all,

I am currently doing a 2 week rotation in Radiation oncology and at the end I am expected to do a presentation and I honestly dont even know where to start .

My presentation is on "Larynx preservation treatments for locally advanced laryngeal carcinoma using chemoradiation"

The attending kindly picked the topic for me :scared:

I would really appreciate pointers on where to find info on the topic.
What are the best resources?
Is there a particulare text book that would be good for this topic?

Thank you in advance

For my end-of-the rotation presentation, I used UpToDate and the baby Perez, which gave me some idea what was new in the field and what I wanted to include in my talk. For thoroughness I also did a medline search and actually found several important studies that were not included in the UpToDate review.

Talking to the residents can be very helpful as well.

Good luck!

Adam Garden and Kian Ang has a book on H/N radiation planning that would be helpful for you, too.

there is another h&n article in the nov 03 issue of the nejm conducted by the eortc, along with the rtog study...
