Hey guys, I'm an MS3 who will be doing a 3 month research project in Radiology. Do you guys have any recommendations for the most basic radiology text I could use to get a feel for things and to complement my research? So far I've started looking at specifics for my project but I'd like a more global understanding of what I will be doing and the various imaging modalities (My project is on CT). I'm looking for a more conceptual understanding even if it's in laymans terms (something like Clinical Microbiology Made Ridiculously Simple for those of you who've used it)

I've also got the standard medical school online resources like Accessmedicine, for example. So online resources are fine too.

get the Learning Radiology book. all the fellow m4s i ran into last year i'd trust worth a damn all liked it as well

I see you're a pre-med. I'd be weary of dissing the Made Ridiculously Simple series, because when you cover infectious diseases, you'll kiss Clinical Micro on the mouth.

Not dissing anything. I just cannot believe they actually have something like that. Trust me I would probably one of those to go and get the book for a resource of types or light reading.

I know of a few programs use the ridiculously simply book as their text for rotations...
