Is there any fellowship in rads that allows you to have pt contact... I am not saying contunity of care, just contact on a daily basis...

also for any one that knows anything about peds rad.. do you get to deal with the kids or do you just mainly read their films...

thanks

mammo (womens imaging) and interventional. Pedi rads occasionally have to deal with parents, but it is otherwise a regular diagnostic gig.

Pedi radiologists do have some patient contact - usually VCUGs.

Yep, with mammo you will get to do biopsies and ultrasounds... You will get to explain to patients what the results mean.

With PEDs, you will have to do fluoro, hip ultrasounds, etc.

VIR - you can admit patients and see them in clinic if you want to... Most people try to avoid that though.
