What was his mental status?
Salted raisin?
I'm kind of amazed at how normal the other labs are.
I'm still voting that someone got her a salt-lick for the holidays.
Did you pan scan? 😉
Don't forget: clinical correlation suggested.Always. Nothing like admitting for hypernatremia and getting dinged for missing the benign calcified nodule in the lung.

So sad. I really had that image of this old lady with a salt-lick next to her bed, complete with a red gift bow.My picture clipped the urine osmoles, which were 632 - not 63, and left out the urine sodium. Uploaded new pic which included the pertinent values.
Urine osmoles above 600 suggest dehydration or increased salt load. Differentiation can be made by looking at the urine sodium. Low urine sodium suggests dehydration, high urine sodium suggests high salt load. Her urine sodium was 21. Exogenous sodium load should increase urine sodium higher than 100. Had to look that one up.
Say hello to Jacque for me.
