Hi Guys,
First and foremost, I'd like to point out that of course I will be applying DO Schools, At this point in time, Due to the courses I retook, I am capable of getting into a DO school, however, I do want to apply allopathic. DO is a backup for me. So heres my thing. I have 4 NC's which are Pass/Fail in my school, however AMCAS, does count them. I did retake them and did well but they do weigh down my GPA. I got a 42 my MCAT. So my question is, as long as you raise your GPA, it doesn't matter how you raise it as long as you raise it to be competitive for allopathic schools. The reason why I am asking is because. I added another major to make myself more competitive however, I do still need a GPA boost, so if I add another major, a third major, and ace that major, Like I am acing my second major. I should be competitive for MD schools right? Or should I do an SMP? I mean generally, they average out all your GPAs anyway, so I'm thinking if I can avoid going to another state for a year I will. But i am ready to do whatever it takes to get where I need to be. My GPA is a 3.0 My sGPA I never calculated because I don't know how? Is something like ecology and anatomy calculated in it? Or is it just Orgo, Physics, Gen Chem and Bio. Okay, waiting to here from you all. Thank you in advance.
