I'm constantly getting right answers wrong on my quizzes! The first time I kindda ignored it because I thought I should of gave an example in the answer (which was right by the way) but this time I got one wrong(which was right according to him) in favor of a completely vague answer! I raised the issue with my professor and he said my answer was right but he pretty much favored HIS definition (which is wrong) better.. These are straight forward "the cow goes what" type questions so I know i'm not reading them wrong. Its not like I need the points since I do pretty well on them but my exam is coming up and questions like these are gonna screw me over. Should I even broach the issue or should I let it go?? Its starting to piss me off and if the exam has questions like these on it (which it probably will)I'm probably going to snap. BTW its a human evolutions class that has biology material and I'm taking a course on the same material so thats how I know his answers are wrong 🙄.

When you went in to speak with him and he explained why he liked his (wrong) answers better, did you attempt to correct his supposedly wrong answers? I would not blatantly tell my professor that he/she is wrong though. I say go into office hours and have a (non defensive) talk with your professor to sort this out. If this isn't making a difference in your grades, consider dropping the issue instead.

Approach it jokingly if you have that kind of relationship with the professor. Otherwise act humble and stupid when you go up and ask why is my answer wrong. If he says that technically it is right but I like my answer better, then you should be able to ask for at least some of if not all credit for the answer b/c it is right. If it continues to happen take the exams to a professor you know you can trust and ask for advice from there.

OP, avoid it IMO. Just suck it up, everyone else in your class has to deal with the same questions.

If talking to your prof doesn't work, go to the department head or an advisor and ask about their advice...but if your professor can give you a clear answer as to why his definition is better than yours, then you have to accept it. Some classes are tough and the professors are demanding; you can't really get around that

Did you say the cow goes shazzu?

If that means that you are trying to get a 98 instead of a 95, then drop it. It's not worth the hassle just to prove somebody wrong.

One time a prof marked a question on an exam wrong even though it was correct. I showed it to him and then he accused me of cheating and altering the exam page because he is obviously infallible so therefore me cheating was the only possible explanation. +pity+ It cost me 5%...

Got my revenge when it came to evaluation time. Hit him hard lol

This depends on whether your prof likes you. Your prof is only human. If he has a student harassing him about some quiz question because said student wants to get an A to get into med school, at the very least he won't care. If you come into his office to say hey and talk about human evolution and get homework help pretty often, and then at the end of the semester getting these points back on the quizzes will make or break your grade, and THEN you go mention it to him, you're more likely to get what you want. Probably best to just learn the kinda answers your prof wants for the exam.
