too bad i have to take the greyhound back to beantown today...it's 4.5 hours and so not a fun ride. 🙁

freaking oral exams are stressing me out, 13 days away but 15 diseases i have to know inside and out + the national shelf exam on the same day + no time to study with having to be in the hospital for 11 of the next 13 days with 3 of those being on call days and 3 more post call days. 😱 😱 🙁

oh..... and i have an EKG exam this thursday i also have to study for.

I made a HUGE mistake in Jan. i thought my Early Intervention credential expired in Feb - it expired last Thursday. I just sent in all my paperwork, but I'm afraid there will be a lapse in credential and I won't be able to work for a few weeks. Sounds nice, but I need the freaking $$$.

I can't believe I overlooked that! Usually i put these things on my calendar way in advance.

Crap crap crap.

My mom had crap with her credentials a few years ago (OT though) and I remember it was a hassel to work out (but she was working abroad at the time for the DoD).

my OD told me when i was a teenager that my eye sight would change until about age 21 and then it would pretty much lock in for 20 years or so. he was close, my last prescriton was 3 years ago and i feel like i can still see about 20/20 with them on. it might have changed a little but its still very good with the glasses.

My dad told me that too. I'm contemplating getting lasix before med school... I have horrible horrible vision. -8.50 in both eyes 😱

In Belfast I had to wait til 2 am or something for it to start. I invited some of my friends over including my pastor's son who was 19. (Drinking in the protestant community in NI is really frowned upon) So I freaked out when he produced a MASSIVE Budweiser out of his bag. and said, "Well if we're going to be acting America" - this was made funnier by the fact that I was drinking Guinness 😉

My mom had crap with her credentials a few years ago (OT though) and I remember it was a hassel to work out (but she was working abroad at the time for the DoD).

As far as the paperwork - it wasn't too bad but just the fact that I went inactive on Thursday and who knows when it will get reactivated is the question.

So technically, I can't see clients until i'm reinstated. And that's what I'm nervous about because not seeing clients = not getting paid.

I had the dates mixed up for renewal - I thought it was the end of Feb, not Jan.

I had it done 5 years ago this month - best investment I made. I was almost -6 in both eyes with an astigmatism. Now I have 20/20 vision (it gets a little blurry when I'm tired tho)

Pink is a terrible singer and NBC dropped the ball by using her. Monday Night football music stays the same (almost). CBS and FOX are different I think...

Btw, Monday night football belongs on ABC. ESPN really ruined it imo. Why is the score on the bottom middle of the screen? It blocks view of the players and part of the play. Really dumb imo.

I know. I love John William's music too! I was a percussionist in my university's marching band and we did a John Williams halftime show one year that rocked. His music is really good for percussion instruments!

well he says she told him to NOT pay it. WTF? so it lapsed. and when she moved back, she moved to a different state. had she come back here, she might have been able to get it reinstated, and then kind of transfer it to a different state if she left.

instead, now if she wants to get re-licensed, she has to go through the entire process again- national standardized test, 3000+ hours supervised work experience, paperwork out the wazoo... 🙁

Yikes! I'm not exactly sure what my professional licensure entails for a lapsed renewal, but for the EI renewal, if you let it lapse over a year, then you have to show proof that you completed being supervised for 240 clock hours with kids birth-3, 30 hours of continuing ed over 5 different categories for every 3 years of lapse, and something else I can't remember. I think for state licensure it would be something more involved like what your friend is going through.
