yeah when we rode magnum, some woman's cell phone got loose and smacked one of my friends in the head REALLY hard--we had a few choice words for her after the ride ended. and she actually had the nerve to ask my friend if she had the phone--what a complete *****!

I agree. That's really heart breaking. I hope the boy survives but feel a lot of sympathy for him as he won't have the chance to know his mother growing up.

I don't know which is worse? A cell phone hitting you in the face or a huge glob of spit.
The spit has happened to me before.

Yes, I am planning to have a career in academic medicine. So it will involve teaching. 🙂

There are three levels of staff here on SDN. Each level has more powers than the one below it. I am a regular mod, and I can basically operate the forums that I mod. (I also mod Physician Scientist along with this one.) A-man is a supermod, so he has all the powers I have, everywhere all over SDN. He can also do other things like operate the entire forum or ban users. I can't do that. The top level are the administrators. They have all of the smod powers plus some others on top of that.

so my car is dead so i was going to bike to the pool. well, i had to turn around because the seat was wet and the back of my pants were soaked.

rarrrr.... and i got the flip turns down good too 🙁

spit? eh, it can be wiped.

phone? momentary pain.

hat... now that sucks. i still have the scar to prove how bad it can be. never make fun of a little sister with a bad temper 🙁

Yeah, he's with the little boy in Peoria while a family friend has the little girl. I found out that the accident was caused by the mom. She was at a stop sign on a country road that intersects with a major highway with no stop sign at the intersection. Witnesses say she stopped at the sign, and then just pulled out in front of an oncoming vehicle. It hit her passenger side, which is where the boy was. She must not have been wearing her seat belt, either.

I really feel for the father.

Never got my tongue stuck in an electric toothbrush. I hate those things. 🙁

I had a horrible habit of leaving my car lights on. This was when I commuted an hour and a half to work so I would leave when it was dark out and get there when it was light -- so I'd often forget. Most times I'd remember and run out to shut them off but at least 3 or 4 times I forgot and had to get jumped.

I finally found an apartment! Yay! Finally, everything seems real! It is teensy-tiny and a bit pricey but it's in a nice building in a great location. Plus it's furnished, which will cut down dramatically on moving hassles/expenses. Whooo!

nah, it was just a special version of the game. you did good for the time you had.

i still dont get why medic ate me first of all the players? there were stronger players to choose from like myfavred.

nik! do me a favor, can you think up 5 usernames for a werewolf game and PM them to me? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease......

i'm the one coming up with the 20 random names we're going to use from now on. before each game players will get a PM with their game name/password. after each game we'll just change the passwords and scramble the names for the next game if people like the anonymous system. 😀

Hi all,

I won't be around much for a while; I'm moving this weekend. Going to go sell my truck too. Sigh. It's a little sad. I've had that truck for over five years, and it's the first new car I ever bought. But I can't use it where I'm going, so it's got to go. On the bright side, KBB says it's worth about $5000, which will more than cover my moving expenses. 🙂

I'm thinking I can get away without having one at all, at least for M1 and M2. I am going to try it for a semester and see how it goes. If not, I'll get a new car in the spring.

Guju, how's the studying going? You ready for August?
