7 points now. I have gotten stitches - battlescars from childbirth. 😳

Advise for all of you ladies here who plan on going through childbirth - NEVER let your OB cut an episiotomy unless it is 100% necessary!!!! It's easier for them to stitch up, but a much more painful recovery (I can say as I had an episiotomy one time and a tear the next - both 2nd degree).

Sorry if that's TMI for the guys here, but it's my public service announcement of the day!! :laugh:

No stitches? That's impressive. I have.

Hmm... I only "dated" someone younger than myself when I was 13. Don't think that counts. :laugh:

No glasses or contacts? I'm blind as a bat and got glasses when I was 5.

I can't think of any others at the moment.

Awww.....

My engagement and wedding rings all are Moissanite. I have about 3-4 carats of what APPEARS to be diamonds, but cost less than $1500.

They sparkle like diamonds, but I don't have to worry if i lose them (which I'm prone to doing).

That's really smart. I have a family ring which I thought my bf would use but he said he wanted to pick something special for me. Isn't that sweet? 😍

Nice - sometimes I wish I had done that. I have mine insured in case I lose it, though. 😉

I don't wear my engagement ring right now - my fingers are too fat. 🙁 I love my ring, though. It's in a 1930's style setting with the diamond in the center and sapphires (my birthstone) on either side.

arrrrrgh. who here was the one who posted about their mother opening their mail?

i came home to discover she opened my SEALED TRANSCRIPTS. She assures me she didn't read any of it, which is obvious, since it is clearly stated on the back that OPENING THE SEALED ENVELOPE MAKES THE CONTENTS WITHIN NO LONGER VALID!!!

and she tells me I don't use my head?

The tech from the cable company came out to fix my internet. But uh oh, he's the wrong kind of tech! The modem's defective (which we knew yesterday), but it is 100% impossible for me to go pick one up or somebody to drop one off today. So tomorrow afternoon supposedly the appropriate tech is going to come. So I will have to sit around again. +pissed+

No you don't. Really. It doesn't help if they come out and then look at your modem, and say, "well, your modem's not working," which I had established before I even called those people.

I have:
-ridden a subway (DC and NY)
-seen a dead person
been to Texas (um, born and lived there until I was 27)
-gotten stitches
-climbed a tree

Never have:
-had my tonsils out
-made pasta sauce form scratch...I don't think I have
-broken a bone (at least not a major one)
-been to Alaska
-played a sax

It is such a beautiful night here - cool and crisp. I was just laying out on my lovely porch communing with the ducks.

Now I am going to play a game. Doom 3 or Hunting Unlimited.

I still have lots to do around my house, but am not doing it obviously. 🙄
