My wedding dress doesn't fit anymore. I don't think it ever will again!!

Mine is too big. Thank God! But, hubby insisted that I keep it. Why? I won't wear it again.. I know, some of y'all are going to get all sentimental on me, but think about it...there are people out there who would love to have a nice wedding dress and can't afford it...why can't I donate it?

I've thought about selling or donating mine (there's a great wedding dress charity for breast cancer I think) but then I wonder if my girls might want to wear it. Fat chance since I didn't want to wear my mom's (and couldn't since she is 5'1" and I'm 5"6") .... but you never know.

I really should do something with it. It's just taking up space in my closet.

has anyone heard that nevv ringer? teen buzz?

i just dovvnloaded it. novv if only i had a cable to upload it onto my phone.

So for the record - those wedding pictures on myspace are me, but I sooooo do not look like that and I never actually did! I think the photographer had some sort of magic lens on his camera that made me look like that.

oh wow- I just got home from DC and the OPM conference (stayed a few extra days with friends in the area), and just found the nice things that TypeA and Megboo said. y'all made me blush! (this thread moves so fast- I'd never have seen it if you guys hadn't told me to go look..) I had a supergood time with TypeA all weekend- she ROCKS! It was a weekend filled with a lot of laughter, which are always the best kind. And we may have learned a few things, too. But can I just add- her hubby is just wonderful!! No single brothers, though. 🙁 Bummer. OPM Chicago '07- now some of you will have no excuse to not be there! *ahem* megboo *ahem* molly *ahem*

and, uh, megboo, nice new sig. not sure if I should be flattered or embarassed. 😳 to note, I stole it off of a friend, so I can't really claim ownership. the last time a friend liked a "jlw-ism" a lot, he actually got it embroidered on the front of a t-shirt, so if you're looking for ideas...

garage? basement? under the bed? parent's house?

Garage is gross, basement is non-existent, was at parent's house until I discovered that my little sister was trying it on for fun and that kind of made me feel weird. Under the bed would work, though. 😉

oxeye, your pics are beautiful. Your older daughter looks just like you. 🙂

jlw, how was the OPM conference? Can you post some highlights for us, b/c TypeA didn't take any notes. :meanie:

Aww thanks Q. 🙂 I get people saying she looks just like me a lot ... and an equal number of people who say that she looks like her dad.

The one that cracks me up is when people say my older daughter looks like me and my younger daughter looks like my husband (or vice versa). The girls look nearly identical in baby pictures - to the point where I wouldn't be able to tell who is who in pictures if I didn't recognize the surroundings.

Guess what??!! My mom has been watching me play World of Warcraft and is going to go buy it now so we can play together! 👍

That's awesome!

I play City of Heroes with my boyfriend and his son. It's a lot of fun to team with people you know!

This was my dress!!! Only mine was Light gold/gold. I had mine vacuum sealed and it's now in my guest bedroom waiting for a future daughter or daughter in law (?) to get married.

That's so sweet. I had a great time too. Y'all, it was funny though...JLW got up from a session saying that she was going to the restroom...20 mins later she's not back so I get concerned and go looking. I look out of the banquet hall where we are anf see her talking to some guy so I duck back into the session. Only later did I find out that that "guy" was my husband! I didn't even recognize him!! He liked her too.

Yeah, everyone that wasn't there this year...SEE YOU IN CHICAGO! Hey, Pritzker chick... (yeah, that's you MM)...no excuses! I already have a roomie...I nabbed her at this year's convention...y'all start pairing up if you want...I don't want to hear it in 360 days or something. :meanie:

honestly- what's the point of non-alcoholic beer? c'mon!

*waves to beary* Hello!

ok, highlights, highlights..... now does this count the people-watching in DC, or are we just going for the conference itself? I don't know that I learned a whole lot of new info, but it definitely shored up my confidence in some areas. like when people talk about digging out of their deep holes, it makes mine look more like a rut, so that was helpful. 😳 I was amazed at the diversity of the backgrounds of the participants- acting, retail, nursing, allied health, business, finance, you name it I think there was someone there from that field.

Probably the most important thing I took from the conference was to be non-apologetic about the past. It is what it is, it can't be changed, whether it be your grades, or your experiences.. If you can't be proud of what you have done, then be proud of who you've become since then, and the choices that you make now.

oh, and a sense of humor really seems to help. 😀
