woohoo!!!!

kennywood isn't actually that great, but i 😍 pittsburgh b/c i grew up there and my family and many of my friends are still there.

the aquarium and zoo are pretty cool as well. nothing compared to some of the bigger cities, but they are fun to see.

But if you are going to kennywood, I insist that you ride the steel phantom for the loops...if you like that sort of thing. My favorite rides are the thunderbolt and the jack rabbit...they're both old wooden rollercoasters with lots of dips. 🙂

i don't like wasting time, so i want to know the best course or methods to use to prepare for the MCAT.

what is your favorite material and why?

That's a good question. From what I know the two are pretty comparable.....nothing amazing as far as coasters like 6 flags, but I think Kennywood has a historical factor that Hershey might not have, but we shall see....I think Kennywood had a really great coaster, the steel phantom, but they changed it (Phantom's revenge) and people say it's not as good.

I tried one of those freeroll holdem tournys on pokerroom, I was in the top 30 with 200 people left but went downhill after that

it says prize pool of $100 bucks for all of them (top 30 win $$) do you know what they payout is? I can't imagine it's much

Yeah, I forgot that it's now the phantom's revenge. I think they had to change it b/c some people got injured. I liked the older version better.

And some person telling me that I should apply to Harvard (a person besides S&M).

The prize pool is 100.
20-30 get $1.00 + .10 tickets to the Lucky dollar.
1-19 get cash with the top prize of 19.99

It's something to do when your account is bone dry like mine...(.55)

All right, you're new here, so I'll answer nicely before somebody else flames you. Besides, I haven't been posting here for ever, either, so the rest of them have probably done their time answering wrongly placed questions.

There are "Sticky" posts at the top of the forum. If you look closely you will see that maybe the 2nd or 3rd thread in this forum answers exactly this question.

Next time, it'll be a good idea to check the stickies in the forum before posting.

yea exactly, I can't justify putting more money in when I have applications coming

It's genius on their part, a nice way of drawing people back in....

I've got plenty of player points so I can claim winnings. I just want to hit 19th so I can have over a dollar. Then I can actually bet it on a hand of blackjack or something. 55 cents just sits in my account unusable.

Then you need to practice. Go to your career center or your premed office and ask them to mock interview you. Practice with friends who are med students, if you know any. Read the questions people got asked last year here on SDN in the interview feedback and think about how you would answer them yourself. Interviewing is a skill. If you are willing to put some time into developing it, you can get better at it. :luck:

90 degrees outside beautiful day(Island living is soooo nice 😀) and I'm in my room reading 🙁 . I should have gotten this over with in April but oh nooo I wanted to have the summer to study.

yes--i saw these clouds on TV too. as i'm sure mushy would tell you, these clouds aren't an indication of bad weather. They are common up in the mountains but are rarely seen in places like iowa. you should see the time lapse videos--they look like waves moving in water

System slow? Don't hit 'Refresh'

We're doing work on the backend servers. It's causing some slowdowns on the forums today.

If it's taking a while for a page to load, don't hit refresh. It just adds another page request to the server queue.

Extra refresh requests slow down the servers for everyone.

blah, i just made all the game accts for this weekend. what a pain in the ass.... each one needed its own email address and it couldnt be bogus because it needed to be confirmed. yeah, 2 hours well spent. 🙄 :laugh:

hey, no prob. i hope to be around for the game! Actually, if I'm around that means my camping/canoeing trip got cancelled, so I'm not sure if I want to be around. 😕
